Anmol and Hope Foundation believes in ‘Good Health for all’ and aims to provide quality healthcare. To improve the health of the children though providing promotive, preventive and curative healthcare to the vulnerable communities. Under the project of Bal – “Suposhan” Abhiyan, we had surveyed the communities and identified malnourished children. Before intervening with children the primary health check up of children is important, so organized a health check up camp.

A health Checkup camp was held in the Happy school from Monday, August 23, 2021, to Wednesday, August 25, 2021. The Health checkup was conducted for malnourished children of age group 6 month to 15 years.

Time: 9.00 am to 1.00 pm

• To assess normal development of the child. ( Height and weight)
• Early detection of disease / abnormalities, which when treated in time, allows the child to lead a normal life.
• This preventive checkup data becomes the base line for future reference.

Rajkot’s renowned pediatrician Dr. Siddharth Patel and Dr. Himanshubhai Vaidya has given their time and services to make this health camp successful.

All the children were examined for physical parameters like growth, development milestones, worms’ infestations, anemia, malnutrition parameters, cough, cold, fever, skin, ear and eye diseases were screened and record maintain in a file of child.

This camp brought out a significant change in behavior of the parents as they are aware now and will start taking preventive measures to avoid health problems.

Beneficiaries who needed referral were advised to take further treatment in the hospital.

After checking up of children distributed nutritious food items (Mandvipak, Sukhadi, Khajurpak) to them, took a photo of child for documentation and informed parents about the Bal-“Suposhan” Abhiyan which will be starting in happy school soon.
